I designed a custom Samsung Galaxy Note 4 stand, inspired by the Sony Alpha iPhone stand from Falcon64, specifically tailored for smartphones with cases to fit snugly. To enhance its functionality, I added extensions that transformed it into a versatile box for my smartphone during photo shoots using the DSLR Remote app. Strategically positioned on the front side is the Sony Alpha's IR remote sensor, while the Note 4's IR LED is situated at the top left of the phone. When placed in the stand with its top facing down, the IR LED can effectively reach and communicate with the sensor, significantly simplifying remote control photography. This innovative setup proves to be an invaluable asset during photo shoots, allowing for seamless and convenient operation.
