Galaxy Nexus wall-mount
thingiverse
I needed a sturdy holder for my trusty Galaxy Nexus. To keep an eye on my 3D printer, I wanted to use Android apps like "IP webcam" and "tinycam." Since the phone had to be securely fastened to an acrylic window, I opted to modify the existing mounting to accommodate four M3 bolts. Print Settings: Printer: BQ Hephestos (modified) Rafts: Not necessary Supports: None needed Resolution: 0.3mm Infill: 20% Design Process: I converted the source STL file from frma71 into a STEP file, allowing for further modification. Using Autodesk Inventor, I transformed the existing mounting system by adding two M3-bolt holes on each side. Exporting the design as an STL file completed the project successfully.
