Galaxy Nexus Improved Holder & Tripod Mount

Galaxy Nexus Improved Holder & Tripod Mount

thingiverse

For filming purposes, I mounted my Galaxy Nexus on a tripod using a custom-made holder inspired by designs on Thingiverse. However, the original holder did not secure the phone well, so I extended and clipped the vertical holders for better grip. I also added release tabs for easy attachment/detachment. Another issue was interference with the volume buttons due to one of the support arms, which I resolved by repositioning the vertical holder. To accommodate the camera lens and flash LED, I created an opening in the back. The tripod mount is removable for future modifications to the holder itself. Both "GNEX_Vertical_Clip_1.stl" and "GNEX_Main_Holder.stl" require printing with supports; I used #8-32 screws, washers, and nuts for assembly, although metric screws may be more suitable. The SketchUp file is included for anyone who wishes to modify the design further.
