GaggiaBoard V3 Housing
prusaprinters

This housing holds the GaggiaBoard V3 from the Gaggiuino project.

Variants:
There are 4 different variants of the housing,

GB_V3 Housing - Base model, easiest print. Cables from one direction, ST-Link to program Blackpill

GB_V3 Housing_Passthru - adds access to attach cables from either side

GB_V3 Housing_DFU - adds access to the USB-C port and buttons of the Blackpill for DFU programming

GB_V3 Housing_Passthru_DFU - combination of the previous two (shown in pictures)

My recommendation: use an ST-Link for programming with GB_V3 Housing_Passthru.

Assembly:
There is a PCB latch (flexible member with a locating feature to hold the PCB in place). Pull down when inserting the PCB (there's a deflection limiter so you can't pull too far and break the beam).
Depending on machine vibrations and placement location within the machine you may want to wrap silicone or Kapton tape around the body for extra security.

Print recommendations:
Print orientation as seen below, PETG, no supports, 0.4 nozzle, 0.2 mm layers, 3 wall lines, 20% Gyroid fill. If you have bed adhesion issues use a brim, but the PCB latch will be difficult to separate.

Updates:

2022-10-31 - Increased clearance to Blackpill USB-C port by 0.4 mm
