Gaggia Classic Drip Tray
thingiverse
This is my take on an improved Gaggia Classic drip tray. Other versions I felt lowered the tray too much which resulted in me needing to empty the tray nearly every other use. My design lowers the tray enough for me to be able to get in my taller shot glass, use my lower single spout portafilter, and slide in my mugs, while keeping enough of a reservoir to hold a decent amount of water. I printed this in PETG to have a little more resistance to temperature than PLA. I did not print this with supports since I have decent bridging on my printer but you may find you want to print this with supports touching the build plate only. To be more visually pleasing I spray painted the tray black to match the Classic and I used a 2 part epoxy resin to seal the paint and create a smooth waterproof surface which is easier to clean. I have included a slightly larger splash guard as the stock one could potentially slip and fall into this tray. I finished the splash guard the in the same way.
