<oembed url="https://youtu.be/IhKwHO3BYZ0"></oembed>

Tired of that inattentive spouse or irritating co-worker glued to their phone? "Lend" them your phone cradle and wait for hilarity to ensue when they launch their phone across the room! But wait, won't they be too smart to fall for the “press here” gag? Probably not!

Be forewarned: from experience, no matter how much care you take in trying to pad your phone's landing with pillows or bubble wrap, this will throw your phone onto the floor.

Printing
Print in PLA with 0.4mm line width and 3 perimeters for maximum springiness. No supports are required, and I've included small brims at the endpoints that want to curl up. Will handle 3"/76mm wide phones, but you can scale up in the Z direction to handle wider phones.

Note: Don't leave the cradle/catapult in the latched position for long periods of time. The plastic will creep and lose its springiness. If it does, though, you can run the springy portion under hot water while you bend it back into the original shape.
