It's Movember 2016, and Global Print Initiative is hosting a contest for the best beard, featuring printed beards as part of the competition. Please take a moment to vote for your favorite. Each vote costs $1 and directly supports Global Print Initiative, a 501(c)3 charity that brings 3D printers to hard-to-reach areas and teaches local communities how to run their own print shops to support good causes. Print Settings: Printer: GPrint Box Rafts: Doesn't Matter Supports: No Resolution: .2 Infill: 100 Notes: The model will print perfectly with a .3 first layer and .2 for the rest of the layers. If you want it to fit, do some measurements. You can either super glue the left and right sides or if you have a big enough bed, print the full beard. Post-Printing: Thermal Forming: After printing the beard and gluing it together, use a heat gun or a hairdryer to shape the beard to your face. Be extremely careful, as any temperature hot enough to manipulate plastic can burn your skin. How I Designed This: OnShape and Pictures: I took several pictures of my beard from different angles, then added them individually to OnShape and traced over the left side of my image.
