To enhance control over G9928 flex shaft grinder's spindle speed, you can replace its pedal-controlled speed controller with a speed dial. The G9928 is reasonably priced, powerful, versatile, lightweight, and easy to mount compared to other rotary tools, despite having slight play in the tool head. To modify the grinder, use 1/8" material (e.g., ABS sheet) for all components and secure them with #2 screws (1/2" long). Attach the adapter to the pedal base by drilling three 3/32" holes and using 1/2" long #4 screws. Additionally, consider addressing the tool head's play for a more ideal final spindle setup.
