G38 to A19 (A60) style light bulb holder (adapter)

The adapter was designed specifically to replace a 2Kw CP41 bulb with a low power bulb, making it possible to light vintage Arri and Mole Richardson lamp enclosures as props for TV productions. In fact, the adapter was used on set during ITV Endevour in 2019, where an incandescent bulb was utilized, but LED fittings are highly recommended due to safety concerns with FDM plastics. The adapter utilizes M5 screws, measuring between 35 and 45mm in length, as "G38" contact pillars. These screws should be precisely 10 to 11mm in diameter, which can be achieved using washers or similar components (as seen in the accompanying photos). The bulb clamp on G38 holders will securely fasten onto a 10 to 11mm washer's edge. Multiple versions of the adapter are included, accommodating BC or A series bulb holders, as well as a taller version for golfball style bulbs. Some holders feature a diameter of approximately 19mm and a thread pitch of 20 tpi, requiring a threaded adapter to ensure proper fitment.
