G305 Bottom WIth Triangle Cutout - Easier to Print

thingiverse

I had discovered several alternative versions of the G305 base online, but many of them featured large horizontal lines in the cutouts, designed to reduce weight, and when sliced, I found those lines were at a slight angle, resulting in either dropped bridges or the need to print with supports followed by extensive post-processing. I created this remix with the goal of having no horizontal bridges and kept all cutout angles at 45 degrees - an easy angle that requires no support. Additionally, I only removed the side without the button and support, leaving room for further weight reduction in future attempts. This was my first attempt at customizing it, and I will post a remake soon. Update: I have added v2 to this remix, which removes some triangles that cut through supports required for strength but adds additional triangles to the 'thumb' side of the mouse body as well.
