HEADS UP! To those who might print this design, consider postponing it for a week or so as I work on a brand new, second-generation design that will bring significant improvements. This is a fresh delta "spider" system for the Geeetech Delta G2S printer, featuring an integrated print cooling solution and interchangeable adapters for popular extruder models. The release includes an adapter for the stock Geeetech MK8 extruder assembly, with separate postings for E3D Chimera and J-head extruders as well as 40mm fan ducts. Dual extruders are arranged side-by-side, raised up so that only the heat blocks and nozzles extend below the spider. Final leveling of dual extruders can be achieved by tightening the two adapter mounting screws while both nozzles rest on the print bed. Single extruder configurations are also supported. The front (lower) fan is for extruder cooling, always on, while the rear (upper) fan is for print cooling, program controlled. I used M3 hardware for most of the assemblies, except for the print fan ducts that attach to the spider using #6 x 3/8 inch sheet metal screws. Major Update: Complete refresh with finalized designs. The spider requires less filing to fit the diagonal rod mounts. Stiffness of the MK8 adapter has been improved. Lower fan duct redesigned for better clearance around heat blocks. Extruder cooling duct enlarged for better coverage. Update: An enlarged version of this spider is available at [http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1430737]. I added a rocking adapter to go with the enlarged spider. Adapter for J-head (V5, V6) extruders can be found here: [http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1365669]. Adapter for E3D Chimera extruder is located at [http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1360420]. Larger print cooling duct for 40mm fan is posted at [http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1358426]. I also posted a 40mm extruder fan mount at [http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1381000]. My own Lazer Zprobe is available here: [http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1657304]. I do not plan to design a Z-probe for this spider as auto leveling has never worked well for me, and I always get better results by dialing it in manually. Someone else has posted a Z-probe attachment at [http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1446756]. Installing the new spider is an excellent opportunity to add my diagonal rod washers. [http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1353040]. Be sure to check the bolts on your carriages, as some of mine had become loose, allowing the spider to tilt. If you're wondering about my glass print bed, it's available at [http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019D3VZYE]. Print Settings: Printer: Geeetech Delta G2S Pro Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.25mm Infill: 100% Notes: Expect to do some filing to achieve a nice snug fit for the diagonal rod end bearings.
