Heated enclosure for a Geeetech G2S Pro which is designed to be used in conjunction with Delta G2S PSU Case/Stand by glendonwaldner, published on March 10, 2016. The case fits snugly over the top of the printer and rests securely on the top plate. Three extended legs protrude from the bottom, providing stability and support as they bolt firmly to the CPU case using three precision-printed flanged nuts and bolts. To achieve this setup, it's essential to relocate your extruder to the center or modify the case to suit your unique printer configuration. When printing the flanged nut & bolts, be cautious not to over-extrude, as they can become extremely tight. Simply glue the flanged nut to the CPU case and then slide the heat enclosure onto the bolt before tightening. The case, once securely fastened, eliminates the need for diagonal braces. Although I still have carbon diagonal braces in place on my printer, it's merely because I haven't taken the time to dismantle the printer and remove them. Sealing the case requires some attention to detail. The case drops down just past the heated plate (excluding the extended legs for lower attachment points), leaving a 20mm gap between the case and the base plate all around. To address this, I use foam to block most of this opening. Venting is also an essential aspect of the enclosure's design. Since Glendon Waldner's CPU case features an electric fan that draws air from the base case, I utilize the same suction to pull fumes out of the upper heated enclosure. These fumes are then vented out of the room via a length of aluminum tubular ducting, resulting in surprisingly effective airflow. Please note that this case is specifically designed for use with the PSU Case/Stand by glendonwaldner, published on March 10, 2016.
