G29 Shift Knob With Switches For ATS/ETS

In American Truck Simulator, you have a choice to make when it comes to shifting gears - use either a 13 or 18 speed shifter. If you're equipped with the Logitech G29 steering wheel and shifter combo, you'll need to map two buttons on your steering wheel to split gears and switch between hi/lo range. The result can be cumbersome, especially while navigating tight turns. To simplify shifting and gear splitting, I've incorporated a unique design into the shift knob of the G29 shifter, inspired by the Eaton Fuller shift handle found in many US tractor trailers. This setup allows drivers to shift gears, split gears, and select hi/lo range using just one hand. The shift knob is crafted from two interlocking parts - a body and a removable top cap. The body can be secured to the single D-Shaft of the G29 steering wheel using the same screw that holds the stock knob in place. A spacious cavity within the body provides ample room for wiring switches, while a through-hole at the bottom allows for easy access to cables. I've successfully connected the switches to a USB Joystick emulator, which can be purchased online from Amazon or similar retailers. As this is still a work in progress, I consider it my second iteration. It was designed with inches in mind, and I've included step files that can be easily modified to accommodate your preferred switch type. I've uploaded two distinct versions: one for Left-Hand Driving (LHD) using C&K 7101 style toggle switches (7101J61ZQE22), and a blank version for customization.
