G29 Dash Mount for SimHub Display
thingiverse
This is a mounting bracket in order to attach a display device for simhub. In the picture I am using a Samsung Galaxy S5 which is connecting either via USB or WIFI to my PC (I will not explain how I achieved this, the answer can be found online). I did not included the models for the phone casing but I might on request. The idea was to provide a way to attach anything you want... I wanted a sturdy dash mount that didn't shake with the wheel vibrations so I ended up designing this. It is bolted through the steering wheel body which means you need to open it up. There is plenty of how to online so I will not go into the details. The provided backplate also serves as a drill jig and fits within the body vent hole embossments (you will see when you get there). In my opinion it is a fairly easy job to acccomplish but I can understand that some people may not be confortable doing this job. If you feel like double sided tape would be enough, let me know and I will upload a model without bolt holes! I used 4x M4 countersunk screws with nuts to fix the bracket. ***I strongly advise the use of any sort of threadlocker*** The "Go Pro style" arms require M5 screws and nuts. The mounting bracket needs M3 screws and nuts. I will not take any responsibility if you screw up something in the process...
