G27 Sequential Shifter
thingiverse
I've always felt that the G27 sequential shifter on here is missing some "cluck". Therefore I designed this one with non-linear push/pull force. Hardware needed: * Bearing-wheels from Ender 3 and alike printer, such as these https://www.amazon.com/Creality-3D-Printer-Plastic-Bearing/dp/B07KXPD6XZ * A spring with a diameter of 15mm, about 30-40mm long. I use an old spring from an airsoft that I cut to length. * 2x M5 20mm bolt and nut, and 2 small washers (one per side of the bearing-wheel). * The bottom part of this design by Antonyart https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4302821 (I also recommend this design overall, the H-shifter version is awesome!) Video to show of the sound and so you get an idea of the "clunk" I'm talking about: https://youtu.be/ihgsoAHrlME (I didn't have the same bolts a Antonyart had, but they should still work except they won't be countersunk). You probably could use some other knobs with this design, but my knob has a grove for the spring and leaves enough room for the spring to compress. But the knob you use has to be bigger than the spring (15mm) V2: Nothing changed except added a cover to fit over the bottom to avoid the hand hitting the wheels. Not the prettiest but works. No extra hardware needed, just slide it on. V3: Added a .step file to make it easier to edit to use with other bearings etc. V4: Added .step file for knob, as well as a version with a 35mm slot instead of 30mm since the 30mm slot was to short for G25. V5: Removed the longer slot version, as that wasn't the problem. Roller-slots are now instead a tad longer for the G25 version V6: Removed extra files, added a G25 version with both longer slot and longer roller-slots. For the G25 version, use the G27 Slider and knob (or replace the knob if you want to) and the G25 Version of the plate (either the short-slotted version or the "normal" one, the normal one has not been tested by anyone as writing this, and I have no idea how well it works). I have no option to test the G25 version, as I don't own one and is purely made as a request. Us at own risk. The G27 version I use myself and have 0 problems so far, but as always, use at your own risk. V7: Just added back the short-slotted G25 version with another name.
