This drop-in idler pulley is specifically designed to fit a GT2 timing belt and securely holds an 8mm bore 608 bearing measuring 22x7x8mm in size. Its purpose is to accommodate an 8mm smooth rod, ensuring that it stays firmly in place without any unnecessary movement. To achieve this stability, I recommend tapping a hole into the rod or carefully grinding out a flat surface where two set screws can be precisely positioned. Once you've done so, simply insert a tiny hex cap headless screw and secure it with a small drop of cyanoacrylate glue for added stability. This idler pulley also fits an imperial 5/16th rod, albeit with a slightly looser fit than the 8mm counterpart.
