G2-Inspired Knees for Transformers Legacy Optimus Prime

G2-Inspired Knees for Transformers Legacy Optimus Prime

For all the lovely stuff going on with Legacy Optimus Prime's upper half, being stuck with basically the same old Siege/Earthrise legs really left him feeling a little short of the mark in my opinion. So that's where these new knee pieces, based on the original G2 Laser Prime's knee details, come in! They fit in the space left after removing the stock kneecap pieces, and while they don't move at all, they can be left in place for transformation. I designed them to connect to the arms in truck mode in the same way as the stock pieces (and actually a little more securely, if I say so myself). The knees are comprised of two pieces, the main section and a filler piece, so they can be printed with an accurate colour layout without having to worry about painting. The filler pieces should simply push into the space on the main piece and hold very securely, but can be glued if needed. I used Tinkercad to design the parts, you can find the link here if you want to edit them yourself: https://www.tinkercad.com/things/1VKff4FzoPO
