When installing a new throttle body that doesn't have room for the Integrated Air Control (IAC) valve, remote mounting is essential. The top holes are tapped with an M5 thread and measure 4mm in diameter. To install a short pipe with a 10mm inside diameter on the side, holes measuring 12mm in diameter are used. Notably, the standard IAC valve has a bottleneck of 81 square millimeters while the 10mm tube measures 78.5 square millimeters.
