Gyroid in a Sphere, G-sphere August 27, 2022 witnessed the installation of a 5-foot Gyroid, in the shape of sphere, at Morris Library at SIU. It is a beautiful piece of art and math, but "a little" too big to hold in a hand. So I went ahead and made a classroom version to capture the main idea behind the big guy! It requires gentle support to print. The voronoi model takes much longer to print but looks great after cleanup.
