This locomotive is one of my very first self-designed creations for my garden railroad, a project I'm truly proud to share with fellow enthusiasts. As intended, this model serves as just a body shell, so unfortunately, it doesn't come equipped with a drivetrain - but that's easily remedied by consulting the innovative designs of other Thingiverse creators who've tackled similar projects. In one of my versions, I've successfully incorporated the drivetrain and bogies from the OS Railway SW 1500 design. This model is loosely based on the EMD GP 18 locomotive, with a few key details intentionally omitted to keep things simple. By separating the nose and cabin from the engine section, I've made it easier for others to customize their prints and create unique variations - such as a "low-nose" GP or similar design. The chassis is deliberately designed to be flexible and accommodate even the tightest curves without obstructing the bogies, but feel free to experiment with your own designs if you prefer.
