I'm making a simple stand to hold old light bulbs. You could put water and flowers in it, or something else if you like. To attach it to a table or whatever, you'll need 2 M3 nuts and screws - I used some from an old CD player because they fit perfectly. However, the hole is just a little bit smaller than what those screws normally require, so we need to make some adjustments first. To solve this issue, we can heat up the nuts using a soldering iron or a hot glue gun until they become really soft. I personally used an 3D printer pen and that worked perfectly for me. Now, just apply some PLA or ABS filament on top of the nut so it will harden quickly and you're done. There are two different designs: one holds bulbs with E27 light bulb sockets, while the other is a bit smaller to hold bulbs with E14 light bulb sockets. I got the idea for this design from 9gag where I saw how to hollow out light bulbs in general. Here are some important printing settings you need to use: - Printer: bq Witbox - Rafts: Off - Supports: No support needed, as we are printing without any additional components - Resolution: 0.2 - Infill: We used a filling percentage of 20% Print in any direction (90° on X-axis). When done, you won't need to use support material or a rafts since they were disabled by setting these settings to "Off" or false. I recommend rotating the model around X axis by 90 degrees before printing. Print it normally.
