This scale model, about 7/8 inches to a foot in size, is based on an illustration found in Hudson's sales catalogue. The original wagon was designed for customers with specific requirements, utilizing standard components readily available at the time. I've compiled these parts into a CAD model, taking note of the unique design choice to shorten the end part of the base frame for improved single-sided tipping functionality. Built on a 22-inch wheelbase, this configuration prevents the wheels' flanges from colliding with the upper frame when using a 27-inch wheelbase instead. According to my research, the catalogue reference for this wagon is likely 2029, while its double-sided tipper counterpart, featuring both ends attached to the bottom frame, is catalogued as ref 2028. This model employs the same wheels, axle boxes, and pressed end support plates used in side-tipping wagons, along with an identical hopper design.
