Rustons is offering a cab to customers as an optional extra for driver protection. This 3D-printed plastic part will fit seamlessly on the Ruston Class 16/20 locomotive, which I previously released. The cab's roof is crafted from 1mm thick plastic card, expertly designed for durability. A roof nut retainer is securely glued inside the cab beneath the side flanges to prevent any movement. Eight BA nuts and bolts are used to firmly attach the roof in place. For easy access to the gear box's six fixings, the roof must be detachable. The various parts of this model glue together using super glue. To achieve optimal results, use the following printer settings: first layer at 0.2mm, subsequent layers at 0.1mm, bed temperature at 60 degrees Celsius, and nozzle temperature at 212 degrees Celsius. Print all parts lying flat on the bed for a precise fit.
