G-Code for Semi Automated Assisted Bed Leveling for 3d Printers
thingiverse
This Thing consists of two parts, designed specifically for Creality Ender printers but easily adaptable to any FDM 3d printer based on Marlin Firmware. First, I have included a file containing G-code (drvax_automated_bed_leveling.gcode) that you should download to your 3d printer's SD card or USB drive. When you select this file to print, it will move the hot end to the four corners of your printer and then into the middle, pausing at each location so you can manually level your print bed. Since the G-code in this file first heats up your print bed, then heats up your extruder, and leaves the stepper motors powered during the procedure, it provides a highly reliable method for positioning your printer nozzle for leveling. If you are using any Marlin-based printer with a print bed of approximately 230 x 230 mm, the provided G-code should work properly. If your printer is smaller or larger, just edit the G-code file (drvax_automated_bed_leveling.gcode) to modify the leveling points. I obtained inspiration and ideas from multiple other authors, including Jfearnside: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2874536. Jfearnside further references Weitling (https://www.thingiverse.com/weitling/about) for his original code and idea. The second file included is a 150 x 150 bed leveling test print. I have posted a video to the DrVax YouTube channel describing the G-Code and the procedure in detail: https://youtu.be/zfTm0SqIFm4.
With this file you will be able to print G-Code for Semi Automated Assisted Bed Leveling for 3d Printers with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design.
