G-Code cleaning routine for a cold pull using nylon
thingiverse
Don't rely on the STL -- It's just there to keep Thingiverse satisfied. Tested with Marlin firmware, but no special codes are used here. Use Nylon filament; Taulman is your best bet http://amzn.to/2GC3fHB -- I use 618 exclusively. Each line of code is meticulously documented for clarity. I was fed up with the laborious manual steps, so I took matters into my own hands and coded this routine: Go to 230c, extrude 30 (to load filament -- Taulman Nylon 618) with precision. Next, go to 100c, while slowly extruding another 30 (to keep it solid as the temperature drops if your nylon isn't perfectly dry). Finally, end the process. Then you manually release the filament drive and pull the filament out the top; it will carry the debris with it. Repeat this process until you achieve a clean pull.
