G-clamp general purpose

thingiverse

This object, commonly referred to as a G-clamp or confusingly, a C-clamp, serves multiple purposes but was initially designed as a camera clamp. Two versions are available - one with a side utility lug (Clamp3B) and another without it (Clamp2). Despite its complex shape, printing yields clean results. The internal mechanism consists of M8 nuts housed within the clamp chamber and secured by a glued cap. The hole at the tip is 7mm in diameter; you may either enlarge it to 8mm and attach it to the bolt's end or drill it directly and glue the tip on. The screw knob is affixed with an underside nut. For clearer instructions, refer to the accompanying images, which guide you through building Clamp2, Clamp3A, and Clamp3B without errors.
