G clamp
thingiverse
This G clamp utilizes a robust 5/16" bolt. The clamp itself is incredibly sturdy, and I printed it using PLA material at a layer height of .2mm with 100% infill. To add additional durability, I secured the handle and the shoe in place using a hot glue gun. You can easily produce the bolt via 3D printing if you so desire. The clamp's jaw opens to an impressive width of 42mm. After revising the design, I resolved two issues: the parts were not sitting properly on the build platform, but this has now been corrected. Additionally, I added a gripper strip at the top of the jaw for enhanced grip and stability. To further enhance the clamp's security, I drilled a hole in the handle to accommodate an extra nut, which provides a much tighter fit and prevents any potential movement or slippage.
