FZ-09 Aftermarket Brake and Clutch Lever Insert

<p>I bought a bike recently. One of the previous owners did not like the stock levers and replaced them with these $22 Ali Express ones (I dislike cheap aftermarket levers). The levers are fine but they came partially assembled from the most recent owner (the adjustable extension was unattached, leaving 2-finger shorty levers).</p> <p>The levers have a dovetailed extension that is anchored with a single hex bolt; the bolt does not strike the red material first, it strikes the grey material first, so even with a washer it does not bite the red lever extension properly.</p> <p>After going to the store and getting the correct bolts and some washers, I just gave up and decided to fix them with 3D printing. Moments like these are when I LOVE 3D printing.</p> <p>The PETG inserts press-fit snugly into the recessed area and the bolt hole lines up perfectly with the threaded hole in the gray part of the lever. There is minimal force in the horizontal direction, and the dovetail bears most/all of the pulling force anyway; we'll see how they hold up.</p>
