FX4CR Battery Box
thingiverse
This is a battery box for the FX4CR ham radio transceiver. It's pretty basic, I am using 3 x LiPo 18650 2500 mAh cells in it. There is still a bit of space for more. It could also take 4 x LiFePO4 cells for a better voltage match to the radio. To keep the cells together, I used an 18650 cell spacer from here:https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1308166There's still room for improvement.I glued a balance socket in the bottom of the box and used a balance plug cover from here:https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5179145The cells are fused for the moment before connection to an XT60 socket for DC connection to the radio body. I used 4 off M2.5 x 12 hex head black screws to fix the box to the radio.I'll probably put a 3 cell 18650 BMS circuit board in it.The 2024-10-17 version has the cutout for the JST-XH balance socket.
