Improved Tail Assembly for FX070c Enhancements. This variation strengthens weak areas with additional plastic for increased durability and allows use of a 4x8x2.5mm ball bearing in the gearcover to minimize play in the tail prop. The gearbox was reverse engineered from stock assembly dimensions, enabling use of the original gearcover if not using a ball bearing. Please Review Post-Printing Notes for Assembly Instructions and Required Parts. Print Settings: Printer: JGAurora A3 Rafts: No Supports: Yes Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: Cubic 20% Notes: Gear Cover and Motor Cover require no supports. Print the Gearbox motor side down. Printed with support for angles over 78 degrees. Recommended nozzle size is .4mm or smaller. Post-Printing Requirements: Complete Assembly by: -Using a gear shaft from the stock assembly, which requires a press-fit installation. May need using a 5/64" or 2mm drill bit to finish the hole depending on print quality before installation. -Installing two 2mm washers about 0.5mm thick on the gear shaft. Use grease between washers as this will be a bearing surface for the prop to push against (stock is plastic on plastic). -Using an 8mmx4mmx2.5mm ball bearing in the gear cover, which provides greater support for the prop leading to quieter and more reliable operation. Alternatively, the stock gear cover can be used if desired. -Optional/Motor Cover installation requires double-sided tape for secure placement. May require a press-fit installation. -The most challenging part is pulling motor wires through the hole in the assembly. This was achieved by fishing tiny wires backwards and soldering them to large wires. Utilized this method to pull large wires through the hole. -A 5/16" or 8mm drill bit may be necessary to complete the tail boom hole. It should fit snugly, but easily slide on. -Using screws from the stock assembly where they seem appropriate.
