I designed some basic 3D-printed components for my FX-61 flying wing. A motor mount reinforcing part was printed in ABS and glued inside the fragile-looking stock motor mount to provide extra support. To prevent damage, I created a ring that fits onto the spinner, stopping the folding prop from flying forward during startup. The ring is designed specifically for this spinner: http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/__17622__Folding_Prop_Spinner_38mm_4_0mm_shaft.html I recommend printing the ring in nylon. To prevent blade collision, a piece of aluminum sheet was added to prevent them from crossing over, which can cause them to fail to open during startup. An aerodynamic guard protects the elevon servos and horns on landings, printed in PLA. It was glued to the underside of the wing using hot melt glue. A simple bracket mounts the push button switch for the Pixhawk flight computer so that it protrudes through a small hole in the cover.
