This is a 1/87 scale model of the FV510 Warrior IFV British military vehicle. The Warrior tracked vehicle family is a series of advanced armoured vehicles designed to replace older models like the FV430. The Warrior programme began as the MCV-80, "Mechanised Combat Vehicle for the 1980s", with one key requirement being a top speed that could match the projected MBT, the MBT-80. Although the MBT-80 was cancelled and replaced by the Challenger 1, the new vehicle's design continued. GKN Defence secured the production contract in 1980, later becoming part of BAE Systems through Alvis plc.
