A ground-level hoofstand designed for access to the horse's edge while still bearing weight on the ground is a must-have tool. It's incredibly useful for dealing with hooves that have flattened out and need trimming vertically, especially when treating laminitis or doing general polishing work. To prevent the stand from sliding all over the place, I used a simple rubber tread plate to increase friction.
