FuzNuz Modular Scratching Plate

A wall mounted scratching cone module is designed for large livestock, providing them with something to rub against during shedding season. Originally created for horses, this design may also benefit cattle. Print the module using Solid in-fill and without support material. Each individual cone is designed to be replaced as they wear out from rubbing. The image displayed shows a single cone photo edited to demonstrate how they can be arranged. This project requires significant printing time, as each hexagon measures 5 inches across from flat side to flat side. A good-sized area features 5 cones across. Printing each cone takes approximately 4 hours, so an array of 23 cones would require 92 hours of printing. Each module weighs around 85 grams, making an array of 23 modules weigh approximately 2 kilograms of plastic. In the future, I may explore mass casting for a more efficient process, but I'm releasing the design now for those interested in trying it out on their own.
