This is my second project using an aluminum compound material called Aludibond. When carved from one side, it can bend like kerf cutting wood. The futuristic design was inspired by the need to fit a narrow space in our pantry where we store a few apples. Although the result may seem overkill for a pantry, the function is exactly what was needed. My build was done on a desktop CNC machine from Stepcraft using 20 mm walnut and 14 mm birch plywood with a spiral-toothed 3 mm flute. To achieve maximum depth in the Aludibond carve while still retaining some black polyurethane for contrast, I had to be strategic about the carving depth. On the wooden feet, I was able to adjust the carving depth to match the width of the material. For more innovative designs like this one, visit https://www.zenziwerken.de/en/.
