Futures Fins 10.75" Finbox Templates
thingiverse
These are router templates for a Futures Fins 10.75" finboxes (Oneshot). There are alignment marks on each template to help you line them up on your board and after marking. To use the templates you will need a router bushing kit, the bushing rides up against the templates and follows it. Router out the slot first and then align the flange template and router that out. Important: There are two sets of templates, one is for genuine Futures Fins boxes and the other are for Aliexpress replicas. The main difference is the slot template is different, you can use the same template for the top flange. Also the Futures Fins box has a slight curve from the middle extending out to each end, so you will have to adjust for that slope. I usually just install to the lowest part of the fin box and grind the middle flush to the rest of the finbox. Included is a stand in piece that replicates the base thickness of a fin, keeps the fin box opening from closing in on itself when gluing it in. I've included rough depth guides but it's best to measure the depth of your finbox and set the depth of your router bit that way as the depths for the aliexpress and genuine ones are different. I'm making a video on how to use these eventually. You will need a 1/4" router bushing (I.D. 1/4" (6.4mm) O.D. 5/16 (7.9mm)) and a 1/4" straight plunge cut router bit.
