Future Liverpool by Irene and Mary
sketchfab
This model of Liverpool was created by members of FACT's Digital Ambassadors group, who drew inspiration from Future Aleppo exhibited at the same venue. The group embarked on an exploration of Liverpool's psycho-geography through handcrafted maps, models, and stories. They constructed paper models using a technique similar to Mohammed's approach, photographed them, and used photogrammetry along with 3D design software to reconstruct the cityscape virtually. About Future Aleppo: Fifteen-year-old Mohammed Kteish designed and built a 3D model of his home city in his garage before fleeing to escape the Syrian civil war. The VR film brings this model to life as viewers are guided by Mohammed through the city's streets, allowing them to uncover stories embedded within a young boy's imaginative recreation of his hometown.
