I revived my old RC car from the 1980s and discovered I was lacking a crucial component - the widget that secures the power switch on the Speed controller. In my situation, I'm employing a Tekkin Rebel ESC (from the 1990s). To resolve this issue, I designed a device to hold the power switch for my specific ESC, but I've included a SketchUp model in case you want to modify it to accommodate the switch that comes with your ESC.
