Fusion3 F410 Belt Conversion
thingiverse
The strings on my printer broke again, so instead of purchasing replacements I figured out how to convert it to belt drive. Replace the string pulleys on the steppers with the 30 tooth gt2 pulleys. Replace the four bearings in the back with the GT2 20 tooth idler pulleys using M5 screws and nuts The four bearings on the gantry get replaced with the 1.5mm Deep Metal V Groove Guide Pulleys and the 4mm pins. I made some thin washers out of .010" thick shim stock to help keep the belt on the bearing but i don't think its necessary. I replaced the plastic clips that hold these bearings in place with stronger ones in the part files. The crossover bracket gets mounted centered on the back wall and holds two GT2 idler pulleys so the belts dont rub where they cross over. The belts mount to the print head using the original brackets. Its a tight fit but it holds it perfectly. Print parts: Crossover Bracket qty 1 Spacers (untested. I used stacks of washers) qty 4 Purchase parts: GT2 20 Tooth Idler pulley 6mm width qty 6 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07RV2T54M/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s03?ie=UTF8&psc=1 20pcs 1.5mm Deep Metal V Groove Guide Pulley Bearing 4x13x6mm qty 4 https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B012KKTBRU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s02?ie=UTF8&psc=1 GT2 Timing Pulley (30 teeth, 5mm bore).
