Prosthetic hand design requires precise printing of small parts. For an adult, I recommend printing them at least 180% or 250% scale. Finger joints can be printed on their sides as long as male/female connectors are facing up, eliminating support structure need.Finger 1 (*5) - First finger jointFinger 2 (*4) - Second finger jointFinger 3 (*4) - Third finger jointFinger 1 + Thumb tip (*1) - ThumbThread a flexible string (~8") through top of each finger and down through palm, securing tightly at both ends. I recommend using separate strings for the first and second fingers and another set for the third and fourth fingers.Thread a thin non-elastic string (~18") through bottom holes, tying off at finger tip (often tied around base of elastic knot). Secure other end to gauntlet's end.*number needed for full handThis prosthetic hand design is entirely untested but feel free to experiment! A connecting piece between palm and gauntlet remains to be designed.
