This guide block takes the place of the sponge that comes installed from the factory. Its purpose is to direct the filament onto the sensor wheel, where the sponge fails to do so and can wear out the funnel in the front guide block, causing the filament to slip off the sensor wheel and stall the printer as it believes the filament has run out. Printed with a durable Nylon material that adds strength and longevity.
