This design was submitted to the MakeShaper Design Challenge (view all entries here). These flip flop soles have been crafted specifically for 3D printing. They should be printed in flexible TPE (preferred) or TPU, with three shells and about twenty percent infill. Shells should be printed from the inside out. Infill can be adjusted to suit personal taste, more infill will make the soles less flexible. After printing the flip flop soles, the upper can be constructed using rope. Climbing rope works particularly well. The STL model is sized for EU 42.5, or a foot of 275mm long.
