To Protect Your Solar Panel Breakers: A Safety Must! You cannot simply throw caution to the wind when working with a 12-volt solar circuit. In fact, you absolutely need to protect it with either a fuse or a dedicated circuit breaker - we recommend no less than three of them for safety reasons. But, be aware that these breakers come pre-assembled into a specific housing, and what this means is that you will not find separate components that can be easily mixed and matched on their own. When dealing with 12-volt solar systems, having individual breaker stations with their own custom cover brackets can actually give you more flexibility in terms of design. And as far as these very specific breakers like XMM65 and TOB1Z go - which are nearly identical, by the way - each one features matching left and right brackets that help lock everything safely into place. The screws or plugs on top serve an essential purpose: to shield the tiny access holes for screwdrivers, preventing accidents when printing the housing pieces. A Safety Word of Warning! You need to exercise utmost caution here - 12 volts can still pack a powerful punch, so please be prepared! Don't just throw caution to the wind. Use your head and do it smartly. To avoid getting yourself into hot water with improper wiring, make sure you take full responsibility for this task - use this enclosure designed by people in the know.
