Fury (Sherman tank, ±1:30 scale)
thingiverse
Hello everyone, This is a nearly life-size model of the movie tank "Fury". Before I dive into details, let me give credit where credit is due. Jernej Primon on My Mini Factory created an excellent "Articulated Tank from Fury" which I used as my starting point (https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-tank-in-fury-11858). I also want to thank Vadim Vorobyov for his turret remix: https://www.myminifactory.com/object/3d-print-modified-turret-with-articulated-hatches-for-sherman-fury-120587. Additionally, TigerAce1945 on Thingiverse deserves credit for his stowage project (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2485741). I combined these elements and designed several new components to create a more movie screen accurate version of The Fury tank. It's not perfect, but I'd say it's about 80-90% accurate. You can buy plastic models in 1:35 scale, but printing one yourself is much more fun! Below are some pictures from my painting process and the results. Some model tips: * Use Plastic Putty (70.401) from Vallejo to apply welds for added detail. * The steel cable is made from speaker wire. * Print wood with wood filament. * For the mud, I used Vallejo Thick Mud (European Mud 73.807). * The grass in my model is made from hairs of a paint brush. I used Vallejo paints and Citadel Colour Inks for the rest of the build. If you're building this movie prop, please share your results here - it's greatly appreciated! Enjoy! Update: October 16, 2020. I uploaded the lower body file which was missing earlier, sorry about that.
