Furniture Lifting Block

Useful for temporarily or permanently elevating furniture or other bulky objects with square corners. They resemble elaborate, height-adjustable, more compact cinder blocks. Scale along the Z-axis to adjust the lift's height according to your application. Adjust along the X and Y axes to modify the horizontal dimensions and thickness of the printed part. Control the amount of infill to determine the strength of the finished item and print time. Printed in PLA at 100% scale with 5% infill, a single block can easily support up to 75 pounds or 34 kilos. A set of four blocks should be able to handle objects weighing up to 300 pounds or 136 kilos if their weight is evenly distributed. The actual breaking point was not tested, but the blocks are strong enough for use with most common household items. Filament consumption can likely be reduced by editing the model file to include holes along the horizontal surfaces. I used these blocks to raise my Australian-made nightstands, which were about 150mm too short when placed alongside my US-made bed. A couple sets of these blocks now make them line up perfectly, and this solution is more visually appealing than placing cinder blocks in the bedroom.
