Furniture & Equipment Leg with Self Leveling Foot

This is a furniture leg with a self leveling foot based around a 5/16 nut and bolt. I made this leg to use with an 80/20 series 15 extrusion project I'm building but the same assembly could be used for any piece of furniture or equipment. There are three printable parts in this assembly. The first is the leg bracket. This should be printed at 0.2 layer height with 50% infill and no supports. Insert a printing pause at layer 100 so you can drop a 5/16" nut into the appropriate opening before continuing the print. The second part is the foot. This part is what actually will touch the ground. This should be printed at 0.2 layer height with 50% infill and no supports. The final part is the cap. This should also be printed at 0.2 layer height with 50% infill and no supports. After you print the foot and the cap, you'll assemble the adjustable foot. Take a 5/16" bolt that is 2" or longer and slide the cap over the shaft with the snaps pointed toward the head of the bolt. Afterward, take the foot and place it over the head of the bolt with the sockets aligning with the snaps on the cap. Press the cap into the foot firmly until the snaps seat themselves into the corresponding sockets. This is supposed to be tight! Once you get the cap to close into the foot you will not be able to reopen the assembly and the bolt will be forever encased in the foot/cap assembly. To get it all to seat properly you may need to apply a little sideways pressure on the various snaps. After the foot/cap assembly is finished you can simply screw it into the leg bracket and then attach this unit to whatever piece of furniture or equipment that needs it. Of course, you'll need to print a total of four of these assemblies to make a complete set of legs.
