Furnace Filter Holder or Clip

I created this design in SketchUp to securely hold furnace filters on a room air supply vent. The clip supports a 1" thick furnace filter, simply attaching it on three sides as needed, using multiple clips for optimal stability. Additional foam sealing is available to prevent air leaks if desired. This custom solution was developed for a free-to-air cooling system in my server closet located in the garage. In cooler weather, I use the garage's cool air to provide server cooling and exhaust warm air back into the garage, displacing some heating costs due to the garage's existing heating. During warmer months, vents are sealed, and the closet is cooled by a portable air conditioner. To print, utilize the largest face on the print bed, featuring a built-in screw hole and tapered opening for 2.5" decking screws to attach to walls or studs securely. A 25% fill with PLA provides good strength and stability for this design. This solution draws inspiration from mirror hanging clips in concept and functionality.
