The latch/knob on my carrier furnace's access door was woefully inadequate in design, consistently breaking down. Although replacement parts were available, they would inevitably fail once more, perpetuating a cycle of frequent repairs. I've discovered a superior solution that should rectify all the issues I encountered with it. To reinforce the two components together, I employed a 5/16 x 2 1/2 bolt. The print settings for this assembly included a 50% infill to maximize its strength.
