I designed motor guards for my Furibee Darkmax 220 quadcopter to protect the motor housings from dirt and debris when flying over messy terrain. The guards were created in response to frequent crashes into mud and dirt while eating dirt with the quad. Although I haven't had a chance to test them extensively due to strong winds, they seem to fit well and appear robust. The base and walls of the guards are 2.4mm thick, requiring longer screws than those provided for installation. Each guard weighs approximately 6.6 grams.
