My remix of gdlzslip's "Funny six feet + Myo" relies on a 9V AA battery pack and a DC/DC Buck module to step down the 9V voltage to 5V for the PCA9685 servo controller board. I retained the original design for the base and most leg parts, but reinforced Leg 0 and 4 with additional material. Using PLA with 25% infill, I assembled the legs, but unfortunately broke two of Leg 0 during the process. One Leg 4 also suffered damage after being dropped on the ground. To accommodate the PCA9685, Buck Module, and other components, I created custom mounting plates without incorporating the necessary holes for secure attachment. Additionally, I designed a separate ultrasonic sensor mount. The Nano and HM-10 clone Bluetooth module are mounted on a protoboard, featuring screw down terminals to simplify wiring. For my Bluetooth app, I chose Dabble, a free option. To hold the hexapod in place, I fabricated two 3D printed mounts that attach to 1/4" allthread, although the mounting holes were not properly sized.
